Generic Online Competition Terms and Conditions

1: METHOD OF ENTRY

To enter this competition entrants must follow the instructions provided in the competition announcement on the online platform the competition is held. Entry is limited to South Australian residents only. Only one entry per person during the promotional period will be accepted.

For competitions/giveaways through which entrants must answer a specific question, unless otherwise stated in the premise: a winning entry/entries will be drawn at random; the first entry/entries drawn containing the correct answer will win.

For competitions/giveaways through which entrants must provide a response, unless otherwise stated in the premise: a winning entry/entries will be chosen by a panel representing Patch Theatre based on creativity, originality and adherence to the brief, at the discretion of Patch Theatre.

2: DURATION OF THE PROMOTION

The competition duration is as indicated in competition announcement via the online platform the competition is held.

3: NATURE AND VALUE OF THE PRIZES

The nature and value of the prize is as indicated in competition announcement via the online platform the competition is held. For ticket giveaways, ticket collection instructions will be communicated to the winner via the online platform the competition is held. Tickets are not transferable or redeemable for cash.

All prize values are the recommended retail value in Australian dollars and are correct at time of printing. The Promoter takes no responsibility for variations in the prize value.

4: ELIGIBILITY

Participants must be South Australian residents and be 18 years of age or over to enter. Employees and Board members of Patch Theatre, their immediate families and companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

5: PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DRAW / JUDGING

Winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries received during the promotional period. The draw will take place at Patch Theatre at the time designated in the competition announcement.

All competitions/giveaways for which entrants must provide an original response or submission will be judged based on creativity, originality and adherence to the brief.

6: METHOD OF ADVISING RESULT OF DRAW

Prize winner will be notified via the online platform the competition is held or by contact details collected upon entry. Patch Theatre will provide contact information of the winner (either a phone number or email address) to a third party where required in order for winners to claim their prize.

7: CLAIMING OF PRIZES

Winners of competitions awarded by judging or winners of competitions drawn at random have 7 days from the date of notification to claim their prize. If the prize remains unclaimed after 7 days, Patch Theatre reserves the right to re-draw the competition if appropriate. The first winner has no claim to any prizes should they fail to claim their prize within 7 days of notification. If the prize includes tickets to a performance, the tickets may be put back on sale.

8: CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

All prizes are subject to availability, non-transferable and not exchangeable, and must be used on the dates specified by the Promoter. All prizes/giveaways are non-transferable.

Winners must be able to attend the event on the date specified. The Promoter will not be responsible or liable if for any reason beyond their reasonable control any element of any prize is not provided. The Promoter may, subject to State regulations, substitute a different prize of equivalent value in place of any prize referred to in these terms and conditions. The prize does not include any other costs of a personal nature not stated. This prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated.

9: PUBLICITY MATERIALS

It is a condition of entry that the Promoter has the right to publicise, broadcast and communicate to the public the names, characters, likeness and voice of any entrants for any promotion or matter incidental to the Promotion. Entrants may be required by the Promoter to participate in any photo, recording, video and/or film session(s) (the “publicity materials”) and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to use such publicity materials in any medium (including the internet) and in any reasonable manner it sees fit, unless that person advises the Promoter at the time of entering the Promotion that he/she wishes to retain his/her anonymity.

By entering any Patch Theatre competition and/or giveaway, the entrant warrants that the submission (and any part thereof) is their own work, or that they have any permissions necessary from the owner of the material to reproduce and distribute the work, and gives permission for Patch Theatre to publish this content through its social media, website and eNewsletter.

10: RELEASE AND INDEMNITY

To the extent permitted by law, all entrants release from, and indemnify the Promoter against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the Promotion including (but not limited to) loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.

11: NO CORRESPONDENCE

All decisions and actions of the Promoter relating to the Promotion and/or redemption of the prizes are exercised at its absolute discretion and are final. No discussions or correspondence with entrants or any other person will be entered into.

13: LATE ENTRIES

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entries or for any technical malfunction of any communications network. 

Spark Giveaway Terms and Conditions

  • The winning teacher will receive up to three sessions of a Spark experience for their school. The three sessions must occur on the same day on a date to be agreed upon between Patch Theatre and the school

  • A maximum of 26 students can attend each session

  • All entries are subscribed to Patch Theatre’s teacher eNews list and agree to receive marketing emails from Patch Theatre.
