Me & My Shadow Visual Story

To support children with sensory sensitivities, Patch has created a Visual Story for Me & My Shadow.

These resources are designed to help parents, carers and teachers prepare children for their visit to Me & My Shadow, giving them a clear idea of what to expect from the experience.

The Visual Story outlines the experience in the theatre highlighting key moments and describing lighting, sound and audience participation elements in simple, reassuring language.

We have created three formats to suit different needs and settings for both family and school audiences.

For families
  • A PowerPoint version to read together before the show (download, 7.2MB)

  • An accessible PDF with image descriptions for screen readers (new window, 719KB)

  • A plain text version for maximum compatibility with assistive technologies (download, 67KB)

For schools
  • A PowerPoint version for use in classrooms (download, 7.2MB)

  • An accessible PDF with image descriptions for screen readers (new window, 722KB)

  • A plain text version for maximum compatibility with assistive technologies (download, 67KB)

These tools aim to make Me & My Shadow as welcoming, safe and enjoyable as possible for all children.
